Last weekend, at Fort Mason Center, we actors thrived under Roland David Valayre's guidance as he directed us in selected scenes from Marcel Pagnol's "Marius," having already designed and hung a velvet backdrop, figured out the simple lighting and camera and mic placements, and arranged the props.
